Jemma Rodgers – Producer / Executive Producer

Jemma is a multi award winning producer of landmark comedy and drama  programmes including “The League of Gentlemen”, “Alison Jackson’s Double Take”, “Victoria Wood with all the Trimmings”, “Murphy’s Law” and Frank Cotteral Boyce’s 2009 single drama “God on Trial” .  In 2002 she set up her own production company Junction Films and went on to produce Irvine Welsh’s first original film for TV, C4’s BAFTA nominated “Wedding Belles.”

TV Work

In 2009 Jemma took up the post of Head of Comedy BBC Scotland with a remit to  spearhead new network Scottish based commissions  across radio and TV.

Jemma left the BBC in 2011 seizing  the opportunity  to set up the new  Kudos  Scotland  office with responsibility  for nurturing and developing on and off screen  Scottish talent with a remit for both comedy and drama across all broadcasters .

In 2015 , Jemma  joined Red Production Company (Studiocanal) as an Executive Producer with a remit to build on Red’s incredibly succesful slate specifically to increase development of large scale  international facing drama series .

Film Work

Jemma has recently made the move into feature film producing The Railway Children Return for STUDIOCANAL and securing funding from BFI and Creative Scotland to develop Keep The Faith a dark comedy heist movie written by Irvine Welsh and Dean Cavanagh . Production is due to commence 2023 .

Junction Films has also recently secured development funding from Northern Ireland Screen for a new NI based feature film project .
