
Jemma Rodgers
After working her way through every level of production at the BBC for 8 years, Jemma became freelance in 1998 as associate producer on series one of the BBC’s multi award winning The League of Gentlemen (BAFTA, GOLDEN ROSE OF MONTREAUX, RTS). In 1999 she went on to produce the second series of The League of Gentlemen (BAFTA, 3xRTS, NME). In 2000 Jemma produced The League of Gentlemen Christmas Special and Victoria Wood with all the Trimmings for BBC1 (BAFTA, RTS, BROADCAST nominated).
In 2001 Jemma joined Tiger Aspect with the specific remit of developing new and innovative comedy projects across all departments. During this time she produced and co-wrote the BAFTA award winning pilot (innovation category) Double Take for BBC2 and Exec produced the GOLDEN ROSE nominated C4 Comedy Lab pilot Turn the World Down.
Jemma left Tiger Aspect in 2002 to produce the third series of The League of Gentlemen (SOUTH BANK SHOW AWARD) and pursue her own projects for her own production company Junction Films. Since the company’s inception Jemma has won the BBC2 GREENLIGHT AWARD for new talent on a ground breaking new project FUR TV, the world’s first adult puppet sitcom, which was transmitted on BBC2 in April 2004 and subsequently won the MONTREUX AWARD for BEST INTERNATIONAL PILOT. In June 2003 Jemma was invited to produce her first non-comedy series in the form of the BBC1 series Murphy’s Law starring James Nesbitt, Jemma produced 6x60’ films for series 2 and originated, developed and produced the critically acclaimed brand new format 6x60’ film for series 3, TX May 2005.
Since then, Jemma has developed several scripts under the Junction Films label across both comedy and drama.
