Junction Films: The Company
Jemma set up Junction Films in 2002. Since the company’s inception Jemma has won the BBC2 GREENLIGHT AWARD for new talent on a ground breaking new project FUR TV, the world’s first adult puppet sitcom, which was transmitted on BBC2 in April 2004 and subsequently won the MONTREUX AWARD for BEST INTERNATIONAL PILOT.
Since then, Jemma has developed several scripts under the Junction Films label across both comedy and drama. These include the first ever produced original screenplay by Irvine Welsh and his screenwriting partner Dean Cavanagh, WEDDING BELLES for C4 a 120’ one off film for TV. Wedding Belles was transmitted on Channel 4 on Tuesday 29th March.
